On 3/2/10 I prayed for an 83 year old woman who could barely hear. The woman was saved and knew that she was going to heaven beyond a shadow of a doubt. When I put my fingers in her ears and prayed for the deaf and dumb spirit to leave her she started to hear well. I prayed a second time and she could hear me all the way at the door. She was smiling from ear to ear.
I was in Belmont Heights witnessing. A lady who was trying to get me to leave her alone, but I just loved on her. The Lord touched her and she began to weep. The spirit of bondage and depression was broken off her. The lady started coming on the bus and she became a member in February 2010. She received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in membership class. She tells everyone and is into the Word. She has been renewed.
On 3/1/10 I prayed for healing for a Spanish speaking woman in the nursing home. The woman had “mucho pain” 10/10. The pain decreased and I prayed again for the pain to be completely removed. The pain was completely gone challenging thing that I have ever done so far in my walk with God. When I started my internship, I also decided to move, right before campmeeting.

I meet a guy who had just gotten out of the penitentiary 14 days ago and was so thankful because he didn’t know what to do next there was another guy being rushed to hospital from a retirement home his family looked worried for his life and he received Jesus.
I gave a mother the Spanish script and she led herself to the Lord. At the nursing home, William was in a metal brace. I had him squeeze her hand and actually he hurt my hand he was squeezing so hard.
Today we went to the homeless shelter. I led 21 people there to Jesus. It was so fun to see the changes in their faces after they received Jesus. 3 testimonies stand out the most. One man was studying the Buddhist religion. I asked if I could share how we believe so he could compare. He said, “OK!” The Holy Spirit came upon him and as he prayed he closed his eyes and lifted his head upward and tears flowed. He gave me a big hug and thanked me! The second testimony is that I prayed with Jason who said he had never heard and was so willing to pray. I was amazed at how simple it was. There was joy all over him. The third testimony was Alfred’s rededication. He was already saved but we made sure. Joy was all over him. Doctors say he is a walking miracle after a heart attack and a stroke. He was facing another tragedy, so I prayed for him that he would see more miracles as God walked him through this. And a ‘word came for him that he would preach the Gospel. He said, “I have heard that before” It was confirmation. He was so excited for the wonderful plan of God.

Like the races that were run by those heroes we looked at yesterday in the “hall of faith” of Hebrews chapter eleven, our race isn’t an easy one.
the 1st verse of Hebrews twelve urges us to “run with endurance the race that’s set before us.” the first Greek term that’s interpreted “race” is ah-go-na ( said with a long “o” ), from which we get our word “agony.” Life is troublesome sledding for the majority, not unlike a painful marathon full of challenges and tests. And so, for us to endure it, we want to “lay aside every encumbrance”—all the things that distract us and keep us from running well—and “the sin which so simply entangles us” ( Hebrews 12:1 ).
In the area of the prior chapter on religion, this no doubt refers back to the sin of unbelief. To remain active and powerful from one day to the next, unnecessary distractions must be laid aside and powerful religion must be applied.
Religion in what? A better query would be religion in whom? The following verse tells us:. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the writer and perfecter of religion, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat at the right hand of the throne of Almighty God. Just as a runner in a race fixes their attention on the tape at the end of the distance being run, we are to mend our minds only on Christ. The first word interpreted “fixing” suggests the concept of looking away from the rest and staying centered absolutely on Jesus Christ our Lord. There’s no smarter way to endure life’s race than that.
did you know Christ? Have you placed your religion and trust in Him and Him alone? If you havenot, the secret for you—before you start running this race—is Religion .
If you have placed your religion in Christ, the secret for you—as you are running this race—is FOCUS.

Just as there’s a Hall-Of-Fame for superb sportsmen who distinguished themselves in assorted sports in America, the Bible contains what we would call a “hall of faith.” It is found in the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews—a entrancing record of names and events in which each individual modeled a faith-related achievement. Pretty fantastic stuff, isn’t it? One individual after another, acting on religion, stepped out of the ranks of the ordinary and trusted God in remarkable tactics. When you checked out the remaining 9 verses of the chapter, you find still others who stood powerful, refusing to give in when the going got coarse. The list includes folks in countless classes : kings, prophets, judges, and soldiers.
I remember reading of these heroes when I was only a boy, imagining one scene after another, thinking how great it might be to have them standing nearby cheerleading for us today.
We can’t actually see them with our eyes, but they are surrounding us, nonetheless. since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside each impediment and the sin which so simply entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that’s set before us. There they are—all those women and men of religion, who have died and gone on to their reward—but they are not lounging around heaven strumming on harps. No, they ( with many others not discussed in Hebrews eleven ) form that “great cloud of witnesses surrounding us.”.
As we carry on without them today, they inspire us to stand powerful, to run the race of life with discipline and diligence.

I read about a consultant latterly who got anxious that his work was becoming far too inactive as he was aging. He was gaining weight and feeling increasingly more slow. Realizing that his schedule failed to permit plenty of additional hours to spend at the local health club each day, he made a decision to switch some unacceptable habits on his own. He stopped taking the lift when he wanted to go only 3 or 4 floors up ; he began to use the steps. And when he parked at the surgery, he’d park a reasonably long distance away.
The same at the mall when he would do some shopping.
He purposely selected a parking bay quite some distance from the store, so he could get in some additional yards of fast-walking exercise. And rather than eating a long and giant lunch, he’d bring a pair pieces of fruit and a healthy treat to keep him from hungry. At home, whenever he selected to watch a fave TV show or some sports event, he’d do so while working up a light sweat on the treadmill. Nothing difficult or super-expensive, just practical things that kept him active.
He currently maintains his correct weight by those and a number of other disciplines he privately carries out on a consistent basis. What a sensible, reasonable plan he put into first gear all on his very own. There’s sensible advice along these lines found in one of Paul’s letters : “Therefore be cautious how you walk, not as foolish men but as smart, making the best of your time” ( Ephesians 5:15-16 ).
To execute that good recommendation, what about doing an appraisal of your private schedule, giving some thought to a wiser use of your time? Anything you ought to start doing that would break the passivity mold? Or anything you could consider stopping, as it’s obstructing your desire to become more active? Why not take a few cues from the person I discussed who found practical methods to get back in shape? I have found that keeping a chart of my progress in my daily calendar is a genuine help. What type of activity is the best kind? The one you’ll really do. Whichever works best for you, as the Nike ad reminds us, “Just do it.”.

With Job facedown in worship to God, the sole one cursing is Devil .
Of all things, the person still worships his God—the One who would permit these disasters to occur. There would not be one in millions on this earth who would do so, but Job did precisely that.
The evil spirits sat with their mouths totally open as it were, as they observed a person who replied to all his adversities with devotion ; who concluded all his problems with worship. No clinched fist raised to the heavens howling, “How dare you do this to me after I have walked with you all of these years. Instead he revealed, “Naked I came from my mum’s womb, and exposed I shall return there. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” That explains it all. At death we shall all leave exposed, as we are prepared for funeral. We have nothing as we are birthed ; we have nothing as we depart. So everything we have between is provided for us by the Giver of Life. Get it when you wander thru your place and see all those superb effects. Get it when you open the door and slip behind the wheel of your automobile. When the stocks rise, all that profit is on loan. You and I arrived in a small, exposed body ( and not a nice looking one at that. And what will we have when we depart? An exposed body and a large amount of wrinkles. You take nothing as you brought nothing.
Are you prepared to accept it? You do not even own your kids. They are God’s kids, on loan for you to look after, rear, nurture, love, discipline, inspire, attest, and then release.
Praise God for “every good and perfect present is from above, coming down from the daddy of the heavenly lights” ( James 1:17 NIV ).
A Bloody Start by Rodney Howard Browne

We must not forget that as we observe the life of the person they called Paul. We must also brace ourselves for some rather hideous surprises. The first pen portrait of Paul ( whom we first meet as Saul of Tarsus ) is both savage and bloody. If an artist were to render it with brush and oils, not one of us would want it hung framed in our living room. The person appears more like a terrorist than a devout fan of Judaism. Through our lives we’ve naturally adopted a Christianized mental picture of the apostle Paul.
Of course, he is the person who gave us both letters to the Corinthians.
He wrote Romans, the Magna Carta of the Christian life. He penned that liberating letter to the Galatians exhorting them and us to live in the liberty God’s grace provides. And he wrote the Jail Epistles and the Pastoral Letters so full of knowledge, so rich with significance. Primarily based on all that, you’d believe the man liked the Savior from birth. Surprising though it may appear, we mustn’t ever forget the pit from which he came.
The better we understand the darkness of his past, the more we’re going to understand his deep gratitude for grace.
The 1st portrait of Paul’s life painted in Holy Scripture isn’t of a little baby being lovingly cradled in his ma’s arms.
Neither does it outline a Jewish lad jumping and bounding with neighborhood pals thru the narrow streets of Tarsus. The first portrait isn’t even of a brilliant, young law student sitting faithfully at the feet of Gamaliel. Those photographs would only mislead us into believing he enjoyed a storybook past.

Did you read that too quickly? The end of verse 9? Mark it.
“The LORD accepted.” And then, “The LORD restored.” End of verse ten, “The LORD increased.” start of verse twelve, “The LORD blessed.” Those are words of grace—statements of divine favor. Due to the fallout of our ruthless society, you and I are being programmed to rush by words of grace and blessing and to speed on to words that are negative. We never hear : “Now, tomorrow night we’ll report only good news.” Instead, it’s “Stay tuned if you believe that report was bad ; in a second we will have a full expos.”.
I mean, even the weatherman foresees “partly cloudy.” He never claims, “Mainly sunny tomorrow.” it is often a twenty % chance of rain. He never asserts, “There’s an eighty percent likelihood of sunshine.” And similarly, he is sometimes wrong ( talk about job security ).
You have not forgotten that Job cursed the day he was born, have you? Or that he resented the fact he did not die when he was placed on his ma’s breast? He was also the person that expounded, “I am not at ease. I’m not quiet.” to explain, “I resent what has happened.” that is the same Job who is splendidly sanctified at the end of the book.
